MARS Snackfood Co, has just announced that they will now allow those at home who have a passion and love for chocolate turn that into an at home business. The new venture, the company’s first into the world of direct selling is called DOVE Chocolate Discoveries. The program will allow the at home “Chocolatier” to host chocolate parties and sell exclusive Dove Chocolate products at home.

The company has also introduced a brand new web site to support the new Discoveries products as well as to aid their newest independent distributors and recruit new ones. The site also offers up to date info on all the newest products in the DOVE Chocolate Discoveries line, including Chocolate Mousse Mix, Truffle Fudge Brownie Mix, Chocolate Maxing kits and a whole line of non edible products including recipe books and chocolate fondue sets.

The company is excited about the new venture and looking forward to providing chocolate lovers an opportunity to be their own boss and achieve financial freedom, “DOVE Chocolate Discoveries is a great opportunity for women and men who want to start their own at-home business and teach friends and family how to create “wow” desserts with ease, discover new ways to enjoy chocolate and learn about its origin,” said Betty Palm, the president of DOVE Chocolate Discoveries. “Selling exclusive quality chocolate products at fun tasting parties — what could be better?”

New distributors, or “chocolatiers” will be trained to host parties that focus on their specific customers needs, whether its candy-making, deserts, or drinks, the company will ensure that each chocolatier have all the essential tools and knowledge to effectively sell the products. Guests at the parties will also have a chance to sign up to host parties and become a distributor as well. The DOVE Chocolate Discoveries products will be sold exclusively through the tasting parties.

If you’re looking for something new and different to earn extra income, this is a great idea-especially if you, like me, are a chocolate lover. These parties are fun, easy and DOVE has ensured that each new distributor has all the tools they need to be successful. The starter kits come in premium, $399 or standard, $149- a bit pricey, but pretty standard in the industry. This seems like a great way to earn a little extra income, and in today’s economy, that is something we could all use.

MonaVie, maker of the premier blend of the Brazilian açai berry, announced today the launch of a new product in its line of functional beverages—MonaVie Pulse. A scientifically formulated açai infusion, new MonaVie Pulse was created to support the cardiovascular system and help maintain existing healthy cholesterol levels.

MonaVie Pulse will be available to consumers in the United States on Friday, September 26, 2008, through MonaVie’s network of independent distributors. Preview new MonaVie Pulse.

“MonaVie is pleased to introduce the first açai beverage to address the demand for foods delivering heart beneficial ingredients, as consumer concerns over heart related issues continue to increase,” says Vice President of Product Management, Jeff Graham. “What better timing than during National Cholesterol Education Month to introduce MonaVie Pulse and educate our distributor workforce on heart healthy habits which are a pivotal part of MonaVie’s health and wellness mission.”

As a companion to MonaVie Original and Active products, the new MonaVie Pulse formula is enriched with plant sterols, which studies suggest play a key factor in lowering cholesterol. The new functional beverage serves as a natural and convenient alternative to encapsulated nutritional supplements, delivering a powerful dose of antioxidants and phytonutrients that nutritionally support cardiovascular health. The heart-healthy formula contains a blend of plant sterols, resveratrol and omega 3 fatty acids.

“A daily serving of MonaVie Pulse gives you 0.8 grams per day of plant sterols, delivering the benefits you need to potentially impact the health of your heart,” says Graham.

According to the Food and Drug Administration, foods containing at least 0.4 grams per serving of plant sterols, eaten twice daily with meals for a daily total intake of at least 0.8 grams and as a part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease.

The MonaVie formula is a blend of 19 fruits, including the antioxidant-rich açai berry as the foundation ingredient. Açai contains concentrated levels of anthocyanins—a family of antioxidants that assists in neutralizing the harmful effects free radicals can have on the body. Unsaturated fats found in the açai fruit at unusually high concentrations facilitate the fruit’s antioxidant compounds.

The new product was announced at the 4-day convention which was held this week in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Rick DeVos, co-founder of one of the oldest direct sales company’s in the world, Amway is coming out with a new book, due in stores November 3rd. His newest book, called “10 Powerful Phrases for Positive People” is a book of advice from the billionaire businessman on how each of us can improve our lives and make it richer. The book is filled with simple phrases that he says will have powerful results.

DeVos recently gave a speech during which he spoke about what the inspiration for this book was. DeVos attributes much of his upbeat attitude and success to lessons learned during his life growing up during the depression with a father who was at all times positive, even when the family was poor and struggling. DeVos also spoke about the troubles with Amway that almost sent him and his partner to jail during the 1980’s and what he learned from it, and the pride he has when he looks at his family.

DeVos says, “When I look back at the impact of things I’ve said and done as I’ve gone throughout my life, they evolve around simple phrases of encouragement and lifting up others.”

Sooo….just in case you’re wondering what these ten phrases are, here’s the list-

1.I’m wrong.
2. I’m sorry.
3. You can do it.
4. I believe in you.
5. I’m proud of you.
6. Thank you.
7. I need you.
8. I trust you.
9. I respect you.
10. I love you.

To find out the story behind each of these phrases, you will have to purchase the book. DeVos does say that he could have gone on and on with other phrases, but his editor only wanted ten. When DeVos was asked what number 11 would have been, he gave an answer true to his entrepreneurial sprit, “start your own business.” DeVos feels that especially during these tough economic times, it is important for people to think about going into business for themselves
