The Amway Nutrilite Health Institute along with the Department of Human Nutrition and Food Science in the College of Agriculture at Cal State Poly, will hold their seventh annual International Phytochemical Conference –www.phytochemicalconference.com- next month, October 20-21st and the Nutritlite Health Institute in Buena Park, California.

The conference will focus on current research, breakthroughs and developments in the world of phytonutrients along with their impact on chronic conditions and illnesses. Scientists from around the world will discuss subjects such as super-fruits, herbs, minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, free radicals, and their effects on the human mind and body.

“There is increasing evidence that certain phytochemicals may reduce an individual’s risk for chronic disease”, says Audra Davies, Director of Nutrition Product Development. “While there has long been an abundance of evidence that higher intakes of fruits and vegetables are associated with lower risks for chronic disease, specific mechanisms for these relationships have been more difficult to explain. This conference will provide a better understanding of these relationships, and will facilitate discussions that may serve to inspire important future research.”

President of Nutrilites Health Institute, Dr. Sam Rehnborg, will give the welcome address and introduce the two day conferences distinguished line of speakers including researchers and professors from Tufts, University of South Carolina, Case Western and the University of Singapore.
