Avon is gearing up for its 2008 Walk for Breast Cancer research. The dates have all been announced for this years walk and Avon is expecting 2008 to be its most successful year ever for fundraising.

For 2 days and 39 miles, participants will have the opportunity to be a part of an event that dramatically impacts the lives of millions affected by breast cancer worldwide. The Avon walk allows paricipants to raise money to help fund research and support for woman and men suffering from breast cancer. The money raised during the walk will also go towards helping women and men without adequate insurance receive crucial screening, support, and treatment. Over 95% of funds raised during the walk will go directly to support research, awareness and give critical care to those in need. Since the walk began in 2003, Avon has raised over 150 million dollars to help find a cure.

The Avon Walk takes place over two days—a Saturday and a Sunday—and covers the distance of either a marathon (26.2 miles) or a marathon and a half (39.3 miles) You choose the distance you walk.
