The 2008 MLMIA Annual Corporate Convention & Expo will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Newport Beach/Costa Mesa, Calif., on April 10 to 12, 2008. This year’s theme for the convention is: Building Industry Strength and Unity – Together. The Multi-Level Marketing International Association (MLMIA), is “The Association for Network Marketing - Worldwide.” The MLMIA is a non profit, professional trade organization focused on the advancement of the Network Marketing Industry.
Founded in 1985 by experienced Network Marketters, the MLMIA is focused on the protection, support and promotion of the individual opportunities and entrepreneurial aspects of the Network Marketing/Multi-Level Marketing/Direct Sales industry. From ongoing networking opportunities to high-powered government affairs committees, MLMIA insures that its members are represented by skilled, well connected professionals in the Network Marketing industry. Hundreds of industry leaders will assemble for the Annual MLMIA Corporate Convention & Expo. The meeting will be focused on MLMIA’s corporate members and include many of them as speakers at conference sessions. Highlights of the conference will be speeches by Ron Williams, President of the MLMIA, A speech from Inspirational figure **Patrick Hughes, and Legal Presentations by Gerald Nehra, Kevin Grimes and D. Jack Smith. Capping off the event will be a Gala closing ceremony honoring Doris Wood.
**Patrick Hughes was born without eyes and a tightening of the joints that prevents his limbs from straightening out fully. But Patrick doesn’t dwell on disabilities but much more on the abilities God has given him. Patrick plays the piano and by his second birthday he was playing requests. He also plays the trumpet in the marching band at Louisville University. Patrick won the Disney Spirit Award at the College Football Awards ceremony and he has played at the Grand Old Opry as well as the Kennedy Center. He has also produced a CD with 23 songs, many of his own creation.
On February 17, Patrick and his family will be highlighted on the popular TV show, Extreme Makeover- Home Edition by being blessed with a new home designed with their special needs in mind. Patrick plays the ‘Music of Possibilities’ so we can hear the ‘Sounds of Promise’.
