Ocean Grown is petitioning the United Nations to declare June 8th as World Ocean Day. OGI hopes to 
recognize that day to celebrate the world’s oceans and what they provide to the people of the earth. OGI aims to raise awareness and provide education and action programs to promote respect of the ocean. The company also hopes that by dedicating one day a year to awareness of the ocean, the governments of the world will recognize that more must be done to protect them.
Ocean Grown is hoping to draw attention to the growing need of ocean preservation. Its important not just to protect the planet, but the oceans and water that comprise almost 75% of the planet.
