Sisel International has had more than enough share of stories on them in recent months and we have managed to cover most of them yet another just popped up. It seems that the company is now having to deal with a guy named Jeff Welch who is claiming to be USA Distributor #000001 and soliciting people under the Sisel brand but he has nothing to do with the company.

In a recent press release on the Sisel site, it says, “To all distributors of Sisel International: Let it be known to all distributors of Sisel International that Five Star Executive (Jef Welch) is not associated with the website sisel.ws or the website tomower.com. The sisel.ws site is set up to detour distributors to another company (not Sisel). It is imperitive that all distributors stay off this site and that no distributors enter information into the ID or password spaces as it is believed the owners of sisel.ws are capturing information and using it for unethical reasons.”
The release isn’t very clear because the site www.sisel.ws doesnt divert you and neither does www.fivestarexecutive.com. And what is really odd is that on the Five Star Executive site, it clearly uses the Sisel branding and has a picture from the “first corporate meeting in the US” on its page. The site even claims that it held the kickoff meeting for Sisel and appears to be very pro-company and its products.

For some reason, Sisel and Tom Mower just cant seem to avoid the constant drama that they either get themselves into or just finds them. This latest flap is just one more distraction for the company and comes at a time when I really think they should focus on their products and distribution model. They are going to need a lot of distributors to sell a lot of products if they are going to be able to cover all these legal bills that keep piling up.

UPDATE:

On a positive note, at least the company took off those absurd Google Adwords which were not only distracting but contradictory to the company’s efforts.
