The Direct Selling Association will be on hand this week to help the Today Show kick off their annual Toy Drive. The 15th Annual TODAY Show Holiday Toy Drive will be launched Monday November 24th at 8:30 AM. This will be the fifth year that the DSA has been a part of the annual drive.

The DSA will kick off the drive by presenting the direct selling industry’s donation live in Rockefeller Plaza. Thirty two direct selling companies have come together to donate products to the drive, the total donation coming in at over $9 million dollars in products. Seven of the DSA’s companies will be featured in spots on the TODAY show during the holiday season.

Items donated include books, clothing, toiletries and of course toys for children and families all across the United States. Over the past five years, DSA member companies have donated over $37 million dollars in cash, product and services to the Toy Drive.

This is a a brilliant move on the part of the DSA and the member companies that are a part of this. Given the economic times, network marketing companies are going to continue to thrive as more and more people seek additional forms of income.

Starting today, 4Life - a distributor of Transfer Factor support products - will launch a new online shopping and enrollment experience for its United States market.

In addition to the new shopping cart, product categories, quick enrollment, and design, 4Life has added PayPal™ as a check out option to further serve distributors with their online payment preferences. This is a pretty unique announcement because we haven’t seen too many Network Marketing sites accepting PayPal as an option. It’s a great idea and just furthers the options given to distributors.

We played around with the new shopping site and really like how the company now uses icons to represent the various types of product lines so you know what you are buying. The other thing we liked was how easy it was to add items to your cart and see what you had each time you added something new.

4Life Director of Web Development Nelson Altamirano: “Our group has worked toward this launch for months. Not just web developers, but an entire team of experts throughout the corporate office and the distributor field.”

4lifelogo.gif4Life (Salt Lake City, UT) corporate executives and distributors in the company’s New Zealand market recently participated in Relay For Life, a fundraising event for cancer research sponsored by the Cancer Society of New Zealand.

Relay For Life takes place in cities all over the world and this particular event at Hawkes Bay event featured over 100 teams competing in a relay-style walk with team members taking turns keeping their baton moving overnight. There were many 4Life Distributors who donated their money, time, and 4Life Products to the event.

The two-day event raised $200,000 NZD for cancer research.

4life-new-zealand.jpg“It was such a privilege to be a part of the recent Relay For Life event,” commented Riley. “It was great to join with 4Life Distributors in serving people and raising money for a worthy cause. I’m grateful we could give back to this community and participate in such a wonderful teambuilding experience for distributors here in Hawkes Bay.”

We are starting to see more and more MLM/Network Marketing companies participating in events like Relay For Life and give back to the communities in which they are active.  It’s a very positive sign and one we hope just increases.

4lifelogo.gif4Life Philippines posted record sales growth over the past year, continuing an impressive upswing in sales for the market. English is widely spoken in this market and that makes it a great first stop when building an international business.

“I’m proud of my entire staff and the support they provide to both local Filipino distributors and foreign leaders developing international downlines,” remarked General Manager of 4Life Research Philippines R. Glenn Ortega. “We’ve assembled a fantastic group of people who care about each other, the distributors and customers they serve, and the overall mission of 4Life. It’s wonderful to work here every day.”

While the company did not release actual numbers, they have been very active in the Philippines over the past three years and are becomming more and more entrenched into the communities there.  With 4Life putting a great empahisis on the Asian marketplace 2004 (Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore), they have seen significant adoption in a culture that supports good health with natural products.
