Vemma Nutrition Company, one of the world’s fastest growing liquid dietary supplements has just launched a three ounce Energy Shot this weekend at the company’s 4th annual convention, held in Las Vegas, Nevada.  

We had heard rumblings that Verve was creating the new energy shot back in August of last year.

The new drink, the Verve Energy shot, is a three ounce shot perfect for people on the go. The shot is available in low sugar and sugar free. The drink is a perfect addition to the company’s Verve Energy drink line which has been wildly popular in just the few short years it has been on the market. The Energy Shot business has been one of the fastest growing beverage categories. According to a report by bevnet.com the energy shot industry grew nearly $100 million dollars in 2008 and analysts expect it could be a $500 million dollar business in 2009.

The Verve Energy Shot is a healthy all natural alternative to many of the shots currently on the market. The mangosteen based drink contains a fast acting blend of superfruit juices including aloe and mangosteen in a clinically tested formula. The company claims that the shot contains low amounts of sugar and will not cause the crash that is a side effect of many shots.

BK Boreyko, President and CEO of Vemma announced the addition of the new drink at the Vemma Convention in Las Vegas last week. In attendance at the convention were over 2500 Independent Members including Shawne Merriman, three time Pro Bowl linebacker for the San Diego Chargers.

Neways Internationaland SISEL International have announced today that they company have finally reached a resolution regarding legal battles the two companies’ have been engaged in for the last year and a half. The original suit was filed last May in a Utah court.

The two companies announced in a joint statement that they along with their affiliates and distributors have reached a global, confidential settlement that will address and resolve all legal disputes between the two.

Neways claimed that after its takeover by Golden Gate Capital in 2006, many of its distributors were recruited to SISEL by its owners, who happen to be the sons of the Neways founders. Neways promptly took SISEL to court to try and stop them from “stealing” their distributors.

As per the agreement, neither party will admit to any wrongdoing. The settlement will remain strictly confidential. Both sides are apparently satisfied with the outcome and although neither part has released a formal statement regarding the resolution of the lawsuits, both sides say they are looking forward to moving on and focusing on their respective businesses.

Forbes Magazine recently did an article discussing the top ways that you can earn a decent living at home / starting your own business for only $5000 or less in capital investment. Of course this article wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the Direct Selling Industry, which accounts for a significant amount of the at home work force.

The Forbes article discusses the merits of Direct Selling, an industry that does over $30 billion dollars worth of business in the US alone. There are over 14 million independent distributors across the United States who make good money working for one of hundreds of different direct sales companies.
Several of the companies discussed in this article include Mary Kay , Avon, and Home Interior and Gifts . The article discusses the cost of setting up the business, purchasing starter kits and the long term investment both in time and money that is required to make it work.

This is a great article to read if you’re thinking about starting up your own home business, especially one in the direct sales industry. There are some great tips and facts that will give you an idea of what might work for you.

As an aside, Mary Kay and Avon are two of the longest standing Direct Selling companies out there. They have a stellar reputation both in the cosmetic world and in the direct selling Industry, however Home Interiors and Gifts has had some issues recently with layoffs and bankruptcy issues. This was not mentioned in the article. This is not to say that the home décor company won’t come out of their problems with flying colors, but always make sure that you check out any at home business opportunity with a thorough online search including checking them out with the Better Business Bureau before giving your money to anyone.
