Agel just launched something they call “Tree View” which offers distributors a unique perspective of their downline and the components to it. The application developed using flash technology is pretty unique and we found to be very easy to use.
There are four main components to the Tree Viewer:

Standard View allows you to see personally sponsored team members so you can see who is directly related to you.

Oder Status shows you how much volume the people in your downline are ordering in the current month.

Autoship Status gives you an overview of who is on autoship and who much volume is tied to their account.

Enrollment Status lets you see what level people are enrolling in your downline.

You can zoom into specific regions or people in those regions to see how things are going. It’s a great tool that gives the ability to reach out to select people who may not be performing and offer them guidance.

We like what they are doing with the new application and think others will as well. Do what the tech companies do…license the technology out to others! Talk about Network Marketing.

One of the most important pieces of success in the MLM world is the “follow up.” To be a productive and successful distributor, it is essential to learn how to follow up with potential customers and individuals who might want to be part of your downline. It is essential to transition a potential client into a paying customer or new distributor. Sometimes it is difficult to keep up with the hundreds, possible thousands of customers in the database. It is not unheard of for phone calls to cease over time and customers will only get a call when a distributor is looking to promote new products or reach a quota.

To help solve this problem, Kitara Wilson, an MLM vet has created a new site, Direct Sales PLR, which offers pre-written articles that can be purchased and used in newsletters. Wilson saw a need for an easier and more time efficient way for direct marketers to keep up with their existing database without taking time away from daily marketing job efforts and priorities.

The pre-written letters can also be used online on websites, blogs, and can even be printed and mailed. All of the letters and articles can be customized so that each distributor can add their own personal touch for their downline.

“Home-based business owners are busy,” states Wilson. “They usually have families, their business and social obligations that make it very challenging to fit in follow up phone calls and visits with each of their customers. DirectSalesPLR.com removes the heavy feeling that comes with following up and makes it an enjoyable experience because the work has already been done for you. All you have to do is send it out.”

It will be interesting to see how this service takes off. For distributors who have thousands of clients and other sales people in their downline, this will make communication faster and easier. There is no membership required on the site and nothing ever “sells out.” This makes me wonder if network marketers will begin seeing lots of very similar letters and sales pages. While this new service might make communication easier, it might also make it less personal. It will be important for marketers to change the language a bit and customize the letters to make them more personal.

There was an interesting piece by Elaine Cayron on what similarities do successful distributors share. She openly states that:

believe.jpgNetwork marketers have to invite people to local meetings at hotels or living rooms and handed out company literature. Marketers before were excellent storytellers. You needed to be a dynamic, attractive storyteller with a charismatic personality to become a leader. Personal computer introduced average ordinary people to a powerful world, they had denied access to in the past. People were allowed to be more efficient and get more done. But it took some time before the computer made a difference in the network marketing industry.

Here are five characteristics of successful distributors:

1. They are Product of Their Products

It is absolutely vital to your success in the business that you are a product of the product and that you have a simple explanation of why you use the product and why others should use the product. Personal testimonies are also very good if you have one. Simply knowing your own product and business. You must believe in your own product and being passionate about it. The product that helped build the business is when people had amazing results on a product.

2. Knowing Your Why and Have a Plan

This is the why and business plan. This is creating your why (on chosen business) and developing your business plan. You need to understand that you only get paid when people buy your product or service and you can make your business plan. When you understand the formula for this you can now develop your plan. Every month create new plan and always put your why at the top of the page. Then write down all your prospecting methods that you will use for the month. On the bottom of the page at the end of the month, put the results. It will let you know exactly how your business is going, what is working and what is not working.

3. Be a Student

The simple fact is success leaves clues and you can learn from your own mistakes or from the mistakes of others. In network marketing just like any other business that is always changing, things that worked 10 years ago doesn’t mean that it will still work now. with the technology changing the way it does things that worked yesterday do not always work today. Networking marketing always evolving so you need to be also updated so you do not get left behind.

4. Let the Tools Do the Selling

A duplication business, everyone sponsoring 1 person per month or even the power of 2 if everyone will sponsor 2 people per month at the end of the year you would have over 500,000 people in your organization. This businss is about a lot of people doing a little bit and not the other way around. All you have to do is pointing people in the right direction and let the tools give them the information they need to make an informed decision.

A great method you can use to help develop these skills:

  • Reading
  • Pointing
  • Introducing
  • Telling a story

5. Don’t Quit!

This is the most important characteristics of a successful marketer. Many of the top earners got off to a rocky start. Most of them took 12-36 months to build a six figures yearly income or higher. Almost every company has someone making a lot of money and other people are constantly blaming the company or product for their lack of success.
