Several Network Marketing companies made appearance at last weekends Annual Green Living Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The 2 day event held April 12th and 13th, focused on vendors and exhibitors who are committed to helping other create and maintain a “green” lifestyle.

Among the more than 200 exhibitors were network marketing companies were Shaklee, XanGo and Mona Vie.

Shaklee featured many of their household cleaning products with a focus on natural and organic cleaning products as well as using bio-degradable and recyclable products. XanGo and Mona Vie were there spotlighting the healthy and all natural benefits of the new superfruits with added health benefits of antioxidants.

The two day event featured events for both kids and grownups. There was a kid’s yoga session, and Eco Fashion Show, and demonstrations on how to eliminate your electric bill and incorporate solar energy into your life. Other companies featured “green” body care, eco-friendly cars, organic treats and all natural cleaning products.

Other larger companies participating in this year’s event included Ford and Vons. It was exiting to see that not only are these network marketing companies entering into the mainstream, and being included in events with such prominent companies, but they are also on the cutting edge of the “green” movement and are committed to the health and welfare of their customers.

The popularity of Oprah Winfrey tested the limits of Internet streaming video in March, when the debut of Oprah’s webcast attracted 500,000 simultaneous users, causing capacity-related performance problems. It turns out Oprah is also wreaking havoc with web sites for companies mentioned on her syndicated talk show.

When Oprah mentioned Shaklee’s Basic H2 Cleaner on her show, the company reported that “one mention generated up to “ten months’ worth of average daily volume in one day.” As mentioned as one of “Oprah’s Favorite Things”, the Get Clean Starter Kit became a national overnight sensation.

“It’s amazing,” Winfrey said. “You can clean the windows. You can clean the counters. You can clean the floors. You can clean the dishes. You can clean everything…Love it. Love that H2.”

With the ever increasing push to “be green”, Shaklee definitely has the lead in this category and seems well positioned to carry on the “O” effect into 2009.
