Global health and wellness company, Herbalife has just opened up for business in three new South American Countries. The direct sales company has begun operation in Honduras, Nicaragua and Guatemala. The addition of the three new markets means that Herbalife now has a presence in six countries south of the equator.

Five products from the company’s nutrition line will be made available in each of the new markets. The products available are the flagship Formula 1 Nutritional Shake Mix, Performance Protein Powder, Herbal Aloe Drink Concentrate, NRG Tea and Thermojetics Tea. The Formula 1 Nutritional Shake will be available in all four flavors.

The three new companies join El Salvador which opened just last year, Costa Rica which opened in 2006 and Panama, the first South American venture which opened in 2000. Herbalife also has strong presence in Mexico. Adriana Mendizabal, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the company’s Mexico and Central America region will oversee operations in the newest markets.

Herbalife products are now available in 69 countries around the world.

Global nutrition and wellness company, Herbalife has just appointed a new general manager of Herbalife India. Ajay Khanna will assume the role of country manager/general manager of Herbalife operations in India.

Khanna will oversee all operations within India, focusing on driving sales and growth within the region. Herbalife India, which is headquartered in Bangalore, has grown significantly over recent years and the company is hoping that Khanna’s vast experience in the business world will help him achieve various business objectives. Khanna will world closely with Tim Sanson, VP of the Asia Pacific region which includes Australia, India and Thailand.

Khanna has a great deal of experience in sales and business development. Before joining Herbalife, Khanna spent 15 years at Xerox where he held various senior positions, including Associate Director-office post sales group of Xerox, India Ltd.

This is a very good move on Herbalife’s part and will help the company strengthen what most believe is major opportunity for Network Marketing countries, India. With its growing population and more specifically, its growing middle class, the desire for herbs and natural products, this market is ripe for companies like Herbalife to see significant growth in over time.

Reliv announced that it has named Joseph Wojcik as Vice President –International. Wojcik will be the first person to assume this role in a newly created post with the company.

As Reliv continues to expand, the company realized the necessity of having someone oversee its international operations. Wojcik, a network marketing vet, will be responsible for all of Reliv’s markets outside of the U.S., including Asia, Europe, and Australia/New Zealand.

Prior to joining Reliv, Wojcik spent 12 years consulting with Herbalife on issues related to business in international marketplaces. Most recently, he was principal and founder of Endurance Business Solutions, a consulting firm that advised companies on strategic entry into international markets.

Ryan Montgomery, Reliv’s executive vice president, worldwide sales, said in a statement, “Joe has more than 15 years of international business experience, including 12 years in the direct selling industry, a combination that makes Joe extremely valuable to us.”

The Herbalife Family Foundation, created by Herbalife Founder, Mark Hughes, has just established its 35th Casa Herbalife Program. The latest Casa Herbalife, project will go towards helping children in need in Falbogi, Poland. Grants from Casa Herbalife program will provide food and nutrition to the children at the Falbogi Children’s Orphanage.

The Herbalife Family Foundation was created in 1994 and was founded to aid and support charities that provide nutrition to children in need around the world. The Foundation also supports in the aid of those who are affected by natural disasters. In 2005, the Herbalife Family Foundation founded the Casa Herbalife Program to support existing charities in helping provide food, nutrition and vitamins for children around the world. Casa Herbalife now has a presence in over 30 countries around the world.

The latest Casa Herbalife Program will help fund the Falbogi Children’s Home. That orphanage opened in 1977 and provides total care to children between the ages of two and 19 years. The money given to the orphanage by a grant from Casa Herbalife will go to supplement the home’s current food and nutrition budget.
