In some positive news for Herbalife, they have announced that registration for the Herbalife Corporate Triathlon Cup is now open. The nutraceutical company officially opened registration in mid-June for the Corporate Cup, a mini-triathlon, which will be a new feature in the L.A. Triathlon.

The Corporate Triathlon Cup is a new competition that will be a part of the Herbalife sponsored Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Triathlon. The cup will feature teams from various companies that must work together to win. In order to win, each team must compete and finish the triathlon with a 3 member team.

The Triathlon, which is in its ninth year, has been sponsored by Herbalife for the last two years. The health and nutrition company is focused not only on the health and wellness of its consumers, but also on the well-being of its own employees who are urged to take part in the event.

“Through the Herbalife Corporate Cup, employers can motivate their employees to lead an active, healthy lifestyle,” said Jack Caress, director of the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Triathlon presented by Herbalife. “I encourage everyone to go to your respective workplaces, talk to fellow employees and a form team. I guarantee you’ll find this event do-able, and you’ll have a great time and enjoy the feeling of teamwork and success.”

Kaiser Permanente (Los Angeles) has signed a three year deal with the nutritional health company, Herbalife, to sponsor the annual Los Angeles Triathlon which is expected to draw competitors from all over the country. The Triathlon is one of the biggest sporting events in the city each year. The nutritional health company will not only be corporate sponsor, but will also be the official nutrition sponser for the event which will be held on September 7th, 2008.

This year the Triathlon will feature a new corporate relay. Teams will be able to compete together for the Herbalife Corporate Team Championship.

Under the terms of the agreement, Herbalife will have rights on all race materials and signage at the traithlon. Attendees at the pre event expo and at the race will be able to receive samples of the herbalife products.

Herbalife sponsors 9 Triathlons in various cities throughout the year, as well as sponsoring the L.A Galaxy soccer team. The Company is dedicated to their own health as well. Herbalife has a fitness program for its employees. The February 2008 issue of Mens Health Magazine named Herbalife one of the “15 fittest companies.”
