EIROResearch There is a new nutritional company in the direct sales world and they have stacked their leadership team with some pretty heavy hitters. Eiro Research , a Dallas-based nutritional company, has just announced that Bo Short, Ty Tribble and Chris Cucchiara have joined on as founding partners and master distributors.

Combined, these three men have over 4 decades of experience in the direct sales world. They have all been part of various other successful companies including Nu Skin, Amway , Univera and Max International.

Eiro Research was founded this year by Chris Hausman who years ago launched a skin care line that eventually sold to L’Oreal. Hausman teamed up with former colleague Joe O’Connor who is both the operational and financial backbone of the company, and well respected MD, David Rahm. Rahm is a physician and nutritionist and is also the president and founder of the Wellness Center, a nutraceutical firm in Los Angeles.

This week, Eiro Research will launch its first product, Eiro which is nutritious liquid supplement that the company says contains a brand new first to the market superfruit, Caja. While the company says that the products are premium scientifically backed products, it is important to note that statements made by the company are in no way endorsed by the FDA.

Tribble, Short and Cucchiara are excited about the new venture and eager to help launch a product that they think will be important and very relevant to the direct sales industry. “Eiro Research is agile, dynamic, and well-capitalized – all the elements necessary to build a profitable, stable, rapid-growth company are in place,” said Short. “The industry needs a new hero, and Ty, Chris, and I are confident Eiro is it.”

Max International (OpTree Profile) the direct sales company that has made millions off of their nutritional supplement, Max GXL, has finally added a second product to their company’s offerings. The newest product is called Max WLX, and the company claims it is a weight loss breakthrough that will help millions slim down safely and effectively.

The product, which was formulated through a partnership with the University of Minnesota, became available earlier in the summer, and is now available everywhere Max GXL does business.

The WLX, which took researchers at the University of Minnesota seven years of studying to formulate, targets a dis-function in the fat hormones found in overweight people.

Max says that the WLX aims to correct the dis-function by working with 2 hormones in the body, Leptin and Adiponectin which messages to the human brain regarding weight loss. Both hormones work in a complementary fashion sending messages to the brain regarding fat burning, weight loss and muscle activity.

While the WLX was made by the University of Minnesota, clinical trials proving its effectiveness were done in a double blind placebo study by the University of Connecticut. The eight week trail showed that the Max WLX was 90% percent more effective than diet and exercise alone.

Max is counting on the fact that the trial was done by an accredited and legitimate institution to set the WLX apart from the pack of weight loss options. While the product is still too new to get any real feedback, only time will tell if the product is truly as effective as the company claims.

The Direct Selling Association has ten new member companies. The Board of Directors approved the membership applications of 10 direct selling companies who had to complete a one year pending period before they could become part of the association.

The DSA is the national trade association comprised of leading companies that sell goods and services directly to consumers. During the one year pending period, the DSA reviews each company and thoroughly looks over the marketing and business plans to make certain that each company adheres to the ethical standards of the DSA.

“The members of the Direct Selling Association pride themselves in their commitment to the highest standards in business ethics,” said DSA’s President Neil Offen. “By applying for membership in the association and going through a rigorous approval process, these companies are saying they take their ethical obligations to their field sales force and to the ultimate customer seriously and are willing to make a public pledge to that effect.”

The DSA is known for their tough “Code of Ethics”. The DSA is a self regulating association who’s members work hard to uphold the code and are constantly monitoring each other to ensure that standards are met. While some have complained that the DSA is too strict and too harsh, they are really the only association out there for the direct sales industry makes sure that the industry maintains high business and ethical standards. Lately we’ve heard a lot about lawsuits, and fraud and companies closing without telling their distributors (Weekenders) so maybe, more organizations and associations like the DSA are what the industry needs.

They get better at this business, and the results speak for themselves.” He then went on to say, “You can’t teach people empowerment. There is no schooling or education which can give you the foundation of what it feels like to be empowered but it naturally comes to those who have some affinity towards a cause or effort that touches them. It is that connection which allows people to see beyond what others may consider “work” and becomes a passion to the person who has been touched”.

It sounded good to us, but how many people were actually buying in to these concepts, and further more how many people were seeing the results that they were looking for? Bill Andersen’s team has grown at record growth rates over the last few months with close to 3 million in sales per month from ground zero less than 14 months ago. OpTree recognized the accomplishments of this aggressive growth curve and necessary business requirements to handle such a curve. We noted that in those first 14 months the company has grown into 16,000 square feet of office space, and now has over 40 employees, additionally we noted the ability to handle this growth as we tried to appreciate the ever expanding footprint of their representative base.

In the cover of the business book ‘The Tipping Point’ we read, ‘How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference’. This made us question Bill Andersen’s core principles, are these, those little things? One of our writers protested in our wrap session that in Max International’s case it is lots of LITTLE things and that included Bill Andersen but not exclusive of him. When we asked Bill about this, he smiled very widely and said in all sincerity… “It is most certainly NOT about me… in the slightest”.

Then after lots of banter about the role Bill has played, he completed his argument by explaining what he believes is the third core principle that has led Andersen and his down-line to experience the rapid growth that they have had. “Support is King” in a very mater-of-fact way Andersen notes. “Many of the people who join our Max business have either never had an MLM experience or have not had a GOOD MLM experience. The way we bring them into the company, explain the program and help them to get going is the biggest difference that we see… we can do everything over the internet, the phone or in person, we meet the needs of the person that we are working with at that moment… it is as though this business was designed specifically for each new member who joins”.

Andersen told us in his parting comment, that this is the TIP of the Iceberg; Max has plans to continue growing rapidly and moving to international markets. Additionally Max has been creating supplemental product lines that will help people in many aspects of their lives.
