Chief Financial Officer Richard Goudis will present at the Morgan Stanley Thirteenth Annual Global Consumer & Retail Conference on Tuesday, November 18 at 3 p.m. ET. The event will be held at the New York Crowne Plaza Times Square.

Morgan Stanley has scheduled a live webcast of the presentation. The webcast can be accessed on the investor relations section of Herbalife’s Web site.

I expect this to be an interesting conference given the state of the economy and the significant decline in Herbalife’s stock (NYSE: HLF) this year - down more than 50%.

The Amway Nutrilite Health Institute along with the Department of Human Nutrition and Food Science in the College of Agriculture at Cal State Poly, will hold their seventh annual International Phytochemical Conference –www.phytochemicalconference.com- next month, October 20-21st and the Nutritlite Health Institute in Buena Park, California.

The conference will focus on current research, breakthroughs and developments in the world of phytonutrients along with their impact on chronic conditions and illnesses. Scientists from around the world will discuss subjects such as super-fruits, herbs, minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, free radicals, and their effects on the human mind and body.

“There is increasing evidence that certain phytochemicals may reduce an individual’s risk for chronic disease”, says Audra Davies, Director of Nutrition Product Development. “While there has long been an abundance of evidence that higher intakes of fruits and vegetables are associated with lower risks for chronic disease, specific mechanisms for these relationships have been more difficult to explain. This conference will provide a better understanding of these relationships, and will facilitate discussions that may serve to inspire important future research.”

President of Nutrilites Health Institute, Dr. Sam Rehnborg, will give the welcome address and introduce the two day conferences distinguished line of speakers including researchers and professors from Tufts, University of South Carolina, Case Western and the University of Singapore.

Lighthouse Marketing System - a company dedicated to bringing traditional network marketing into the new millennium - is hosting a conference later in the month called, “Putting the Net in Network Marketing Conference and Expo 2008.”

The event will be held July 18-19th at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Dallas, Texas. Lighthouse will work with co-sponsors, MLM Radioshow and Team GLI, to bring together speakers, trainers, and MLM veterans to speak to attendees about using current technology to build their network marketing business.

This is the third year the event is being put on, the two previous conferences were held in Las Vegas, and Salt Lake and drew large crowds. This event is open to the public and is not company specific.

Some of the speakers that have already been announced are Artemis Limpert, Jerry Clark, Dave Sherwin, Robert Butwin, Pat Berry, Barry Donalson, Dale Calvert, Deagan Smith, and Kimball Roundy. Internet Marketer Stephen Pierce is the keynote speaker.

Tickets are still available and are very reasonably priced. If you are a member of Lighthouse, you receive two free tickets. For more info, you can check out, http://puttingthenetinnetworkmarketing.net.

If you can make it to the conference, it sounds like a great one to check out. The MLM industry has changed so much over the years. Independent distributors are now setting up websites, sending out mass emails, and many company’s provide distributors with their own online accounts. Being up to date and knowledgeable about technology is essential and can grow and enhance your business much faster than traditional person to person methods.

Hopefully the conference will also address the issues of online advertising and using blogs and other websites to reach specifically targeted audiences.
