Getting free network marketing leads is a desire you and everyone else involved in network marketing has. Nowadays, most people are aware that web 2.0 (aka social network sites) such as O Jeez, Facebook, MySpace, Direct Matches, etc. are great place to network as well as build your business.
The problem that occurs is that most people fail to use social networking sites to their advantage. As Mike Lewis in his article entitled, ‘Social Networking. . . . . . and The Law of Rejection’ says:
“Surely there can’t be anyone who is involved in any social network who has yet to discover the law of attraction?

Then why is it that so many social networkers are so hung up on becoming experts at the Law of Rejection?

The Law of Attraction is all about creating an environment that position you as a very attractive person, it’s about becoming a very attractive person. It’s about showing up in a way that draws people toward you because of WHO your are, NOT what you do.”

Now, for some, those words were very painful to hear. The good news is that you can learn to use the Law of Attraction. If you learn how to do this right, you will not have any problems generating free networking marketing leads for your MLM.

Let me give you a few tips on how to use your membership in social networking sites as a way to attract others to you.

*Do NOT pitch. As a member of any social networking site, I am sure you have noticed things in people’s profiles such as how their biz is the greatest on the planet, how you will make thousands of dollars quickly, etc. When you create your profile, do not pitch like you see other people doing. All you need to do is share your story, give a few personal notes about yourself, and then offer networking and friendship to others. That’s it. Make sure you include your picture as most people want to see the person they are connecting with. You can put an eye catching signature file in your profile as a way to share in a non-sales way, what your biz is. People will respond to this approach much, much better and will desire to connect with you.

*Offer something of value. Give away your free report, a free ebook, a free something that can benefit people in their business. This can be a tool that introduces people to what you do in a non-threatening way; they won’t think you are trying to get them in on your deal.

*Ask questions as you invite people to connect with you. You can build up a friendship list pretty quickly in sites such as Adland Pro, Direct Matches, Myspace, Facebook, etc. . It is best to contact the people who have joined in the last 24 hours since they will be sure to get your message. For the people who have had memberships longer and use free accounts, many will not see your email since they are only allotted a few free messages when they first join.

After you ask the person to connect with you, also send them a brief email. In this email, tell a little about yourself, comment on their profile, welcome them, and then ask what are their two biggest challenges as they build a biz. You will find that people will respond to you. This is a great way to begin to network and develop friendships.

Using social networking sites are a great way to not only meet new people, but also find free networking marketing leads for your MLM home based business. The people who do ask questions will be the ones who are serious and trust you because you have a solid relationship with them.
What a great way to build a biz in a relaxed, fun, and stress free way!

With these five success factors, you’ll never feel like a pushy sales person and lose the friendship and respect of your family and friends. The MLM training in this article will teach you how to talk about your MLM business with ease and will always guide you to say the right thing.

Forget for a second that you’re in network marketing. What if you were starting any other kind of business like a retail store, a salon, or a construction company? Where would you get your customers? Your employees? How about business partners? Where would you find them?

In one or more of those categories a friend, acquaintance or family member might be the right fit, maybe not. Maybe they know the right fit. Somehow it always works itself back to an acquaintance, a recommendation or a referral. In MLM, this is called your “warm market.”

Life seems to be a series of experiences brought on by connections to other people. Your job as a Networker is to connect the bridges together and move past the disinterested in a professional and honest way, without “pushing.” Most all businesses begin this way.

Your warm market can be one of the greatest resources to your MLM business. Dealing with family and friends can be a blessing or a curse, but if you want your family and friends to continue to respect you, give you referrals, be your customer, and possibly say “yes” to your presentation, I recommend you follow these five simple MLM training tips when working with your warm market.

Rule #1 Hold your tongue. Don’t ever insult someone for his or her decision not to participate with you in your business. Don’t tell someone they’re stupid for not doing business with you, even if it is “the way you talk to your brother.” It’s unprofessional and out of place.

Rule #2 Be wise. “No” rarely means no. That same brother in three weeks or three years could lose his job. If you’ve made a fool out of yourself, not only will he not do the business, he will beat you to all of your friends and tell them about the “scam” you’re in. All of this because “you told him” how stupid he was. That’s not wise.

Rule #3 Deal with it. For 10 years I’ve dealt with objections, concerns, past failures, bad experiences, etc., which have all taught me how to successfully handle these issues. The good news is that all of these objections are resolved and discussed in the “Brilliant Compensation” presentation. Just as an experienced dentist knows that treating teeth is the easy part and the hard part is dealing with the patient’s baggage - like the time the other dentist stuck a six-foot needle in their gum when they were 14 years old. Dealing with these issues is what wins the patient. Once the trust is established you’ve got them for life or until you decide to stop servicing their needs.

Rule #4 Yes or No. Some prospects just take one conversation to be won and some prospects take 10 conversations. (Nine of those conversations resulted in a “No” answer even though “No” was never stated.) If you take the thought process as being that either the prospect says “Yes” or “No,” then you’ll miss the art of communication and networking.

Suppose your company has 20 products. If your prospect says “No”, find out what they are saying “No” to. Are they saying “No” to all 20 products? Are they saying ”No” to “I don’t want to diversify my income?” No to ”I don’t know anyone who needs or wants any of your 20 products?” That’s a lot to say “No” to. I recommend that you find out exactly what your prospects are truly saying “No” to.

Rule #5 Don’t be a bug. Do not ever “bug” family and friends about your company. Sometimes Networkers get extremely focused, which is good, and it should never be suppressed. Focus is what creates “eliteness.” Just be disciplined as to what and who deserves that focus. If it’s a friend or family member who clearly isn’t interested, quit wasting time there and go get in front of people who do want to be a part of your MLM business or a product consumer.

Your warm market is an important part of your business. Abuse it and pretty soon you’ll notice they don’t return your phone calls anymore. Keep these five rules in mind and get the proper MLM training to be effective at communicating with your warm market, and you will see that you can have a successful business and keep the respect of your family and friends.

And there you have it - five rules to follow when working with your friends and family.

Much respect and admiration,

Tim Sales

Wouldn’t it be nice if all networkers knew their prospects “hot buttons” right away? The network marketing recruiting process would be so much easier. There wouldn’t need to be any convincing, no defending the company or cost of the products, etc.

As it turns out, this does not have to be difficult. MLM prospects hot buttons can be found pretty easily. How? Through an easy to use brochure/survey that allows prospects to check off areas that interest them. All a networker needs to do is insert their company or products best features and benefits into the brochure and then let the prospects choose their hot buttons. This method can make the network marketing recruiting process stress and rejection free.

Here is the easy to follow technique to follow that can create a steady stream of prospects.

1. Write creative headlines that touch on benefits. Here are some examples to consider:

-How to drive a new bonus car with no monthly payments
-How to add an additional $400 a month part-time income
-The three warning signs that your family is in serious jeopardy
-How to get paid for recommending things that you like
-How to lose 10 pounds a month without dieting.
-Where to find an extra $2500 tax reduction every year
-The insider’s secret to having your own business

2. Once the creative headlines are finished, the next task is to discover which one of the benefits will get prospects very excited. This can be easily found out by simply asking them! There is no need for guesswork here. When the asking is done, is must be in a very inoffensive and non-threatening way.

This is done by putting the headlines in the brochure and ask the MLM prospect to check off which benefit they desire to know more about. For example, a networker could say:

“Our business opportunity has many unique and interesting features. We’d be glad to give you more information on any of these areas. Please check the appropriate boxes to receive more information.”

Then, include 3 columns in the body of the brochure/survey. One column should state the benefit, the next would have a “No information please”, and the last column can have “I want to know more”.

Benefits remember, are simply the headlines that were previously created. Here are examples that the prospects can check to receive more information about:

-How to drive a new bonus car with no monthly payments.
-How to add an additional $400 a month of part-time income.
-The three warning signs that your family is in serious jeopardy.
-How to get paid for recommending things that you like.
-How to lose 11 pounds per month without dieting.
-How to find an extra $2500 tax reduction every year.
-The insider’s secret to having your own business.

Once a prospects checks off their areas of interest, this will inform a networker what to zero in on.

Brochures/surveys can be utilized in many marketing areas such as the following:

-Fish bowl technique follow up method
-Post cards
-At the end of opportunity meetings if prospects feel they need to think things over
-Stand alone mailer to a targeted list
-When people ask a networker what they do for a living, this can be a take home explanation piece

Network marketing recruiting doesn’t have to be difficult or done in a hard selling way. Using a brochure/survey is a great method to create a steady stream of interested prospects. It is a stress free way for a networker to build their business.

When exploring so many different techniques for generating greater sales - especially in an industry that is filled with products that are billed to have a positive effect on your mind or body, one has to ask themselves if the best method of getting someone to drink your Kool-Aid is to give it to them for free to try.  Margie Zable Fisher tackled this same question, is giving stuff away a good idea or waste of money.  We found her perspective to be interesting and well thought and may help others in their consideration of whether to let people sample first before you can get them to buy.

In January I attended a conference where Katrina Markoff of Vosges Haut-Chocolat spoke. I was impressed with Katrina and the company, and wrote in my blog that the company missed a P.R. opportunity by not including some of their chocolate in the goodie bag. Natalie, the company’s P.R. person, said that chocolate was indeed included in the gift bag and asked, since my gift bag was missing the chocolate, if I wanted her to send me some. The answer, of course, was yes! I got the exotic truffles on Valentine’s Day, and they were very yummy.

A few weeks ago I suggested to one of my clients (Saba Fine Asian Dining) that we offer food samples during a Saturday morning “Green Market” across the street from the restaurant.

Businesses often struggle with “giving stuff away,” whether it is a product or some of your time or expertise. They wonder if it is worth the time and money.

I thought I might demonstrate how, if done strategically, it is well worth the effort.

1. Give away your product or service to people who are willing to buy, and are in your target market. For example, we decided to give samples from Saba to people shopping across the street, since most people who go to restaurants live or work within a few miles of the restaurant. Also, the people were shopping at a “Green Market” and were looking for healthy food, which is also a Saba specialty, so we could mention that the restaurant uses no trans fats. Similarly, the attendees at the January Women in Charge conference, where the Vosges founder spoke, were women business owners, who are buyers of chocolate. After hearing Katrina Markoff’s inspiring speech, we felt warmly towards her and her company. Getting a sample of her chocolate just clinched our interest and the likelihood that we would buy her company’s products.

2. Provide donations to charity events only if they fit with your interest or your product or service. Before you start booing and hissing, hear me out. If you have a personal interest in a charity, I believe you should always feel free to donate your product or service, since this is something you should be doing all the time. Beyond that, however, many businesses often get asked by charities for donations for events. If you don’t feel a passion for the charity, provide a donation if it can help your business. For example, if you are a plastic surgeon whose clientele consists mostly of affluent women over 40, you could offer a gift certificate towards your services for a charity event that will be attended by that market. If an event will be attended by lots of male business owners, donating tickets to some local sporting events makes sense. Just make sure that you get listed on the donations page of the event booklet as well, for added exposure.

3. Offer complimentary reports if you are promoting your expertise. This is an easy way to offer a “taste” of your knowledge, without giving away your consulting, and without spending a lot of your time putting the information together (since your time is worth money). It also allows you to ask for e-mail addresses and contact information, so that you can market to these people who are already interested in you and your information, and may be ready to buy at a later date.

By all means, do consider offering some of your stuff gratis. Build product and service giveaways into your P.R. budget and watch your sales grow!
