Getting free network marketing leads is a desire you and everyone else involved in network marketing has. Nowadays, most people are aware that web 2.0 (aka social network sites) such as O Jeez, Facebook, MySpace, Direct Matches, etc. are great place to network as well as build your business.
The problem that occurs is that most people fail to use social networking sites to their advantage. As Mike Lewis in his article entitled, ‘Social Networking. . . . . . and The Law of Rejection’ says:
“Surely there can’t be anyone who is involved in any social network who has yet to discover the law of attraction?

Then why is it that so many social networkers are so hung up on becoming experts at the Law of Rejection?

The Law of Attraction is all about creating an environment that position you as a very attractive person, it’s about becoming a very attractive person. It’s about showing up in a way that draws people toward you because of WHO your are, NOT what you do.”

Now, for some, those words were very painful to hear. The good news is that you can learn to use the Law of Attraction. If you learn how to do this right, you will not have any problems generating free networking marketing leads for your MLM.

Let me give you a few tips on how to use your membership in social networking sites as a way to attract others to you.

*Do NOT pitch. As a member of any social networking site, I am sure you have noticed things in people’s profiles such as how their biz is the greatest on the planet, how you will make thousands of dollars quickly, etc. When you create your profile, do not pitch like you see other people doing. All you need to do is share your story, give a few personal notes about yourself, and then offer networking and friendship to others. That’s it. Make sure you include your picture as most people want to see the person they are connecting with. You can put an eye catching signature file in your profile as a way to share in a non-sales way, what your biz is. People will respond to this approach much, much better and will desire to connect with you.

*Offer something of value. Give away your free report, a free ebook, a free something that can benefit people in their business. This can be a tool that introduces people to what you do in a non-threatening way; they won’t think you are trying to get them in on your deal.

*Ask questions as you invite people to connect with you. You can build up a friendship list pretty quickly in sites such as Adland Pro, Direct Matches, Myspace, Facebook, etc. . It is best to contact the people who have joined in the last 24 hours since they will be sure to get your message. For the people who have had memberships longer and use free accounts, many will not see your email since they are only allotted a few free messages when they first join.

After you ask the person to connect with you, also send them a brief email. In this email, tell a little about yourself, comment on their profile, welcome them, and then ask what are their two biggest challenges as they build a biz. You will find that people will respond to you. This is a great way to begin to network and develop friendships.

Using social networking sites are a great way to not only meet new people, but also find free networking marketing leads for your MLM home based business. The people who do ask questions will be the ones who are serious and trust you because you have a solid relationship with them.
What a great way to build a biz in a relaxed, fun, and stress free way!

As someone who is involved in network marketing, you are probably using different marketing techniques to build your business. The following are free MLM marketing tips that cover 6 deadly marketing mistakes that need to be avoided at all costs and why.

Marketing Mistake #1: Calling it quits too early. You don’t just quit using one particular marketing strategy because you failed. It could mean you need more education or to run a series of tests (e.g. headlines, ad copy, various incentives, etc.) before you make a final decision. The lesson here is not to give up too soon.

Marketing Mistake #2: Failing to offer a solid guarantee. With everything you do, whether it be online or off-line marketing, you have to have a guarantee. Some people are hesitant to do this because they fear people will take advantage of them and drive them out of business. It’s natural to think this way, but it’s false. Instead, always include a money back guarantee as this will increase sales.

Marketing Mistake #3: Failing to target a market. This free MLM marketing tip you have to follow at all costs. If you are just trying to target everything and everyone in MLM, good luck! Even in MLM, you must specify who you want to target. Maybe it is people who are looking for a duplicative system to attract prospects to their business. Maybe it is people who need more skills in how to build a downline. Whatever the case, always ask yourself before starting a marketing campaign who you are trying to reach.

Marketing Mistake #4: Failing to do keyword research. It does not matter what type of marketing you are doing online, keyword research is essential. If you fail to do keyword research to find what your target market is searching for, any type of marketing will be like shooting arrows in the dark. I would not even bother to market online if you are not going to take some time to do appropriate keyword research. This simple method will save you frustration down the road.

Marketing Mistake #5: Using an advertiser just because of their readership, listenership for radio, or viewership for TV. This free MLM marketing tips are for those who really like to get creative and think outside of the box. For example, while it is great your budget can afford these marketing methods, if you advertise from 2:00 AM-5:00 PM on a radio station that is an all-sports talk radio and you are selling a female product or service, how successful if your campaign going to be? So, once again, make sure you are targeting your audience correctly.

Marketing Mistake #6: You have no upselling. Here is a free MLM marketing tip that might step on some toes. If your MLM product or service only lets you make one sale per customer, you are going to have a very tough road ahead. You have put yourself in a position where you just have a job. You need to be able to offer your customers more than just one product or service in order to keep them coming back for more. Otherwise, where is your residual income?

Following these free MLM marketing tips can really be to your advantage. Avoid these 6 deadly marketing mistakes and instead focus on proven marketing strategies that will take your business to the next level.

The Direct Selling Association has a new information and tool site to help those who are interested in direct sales or those who might be thinking about getting into direct sales. The new site, is www.directselling411.com.

The site has tips and tools for both consumers and sellers but they look pretty static. There are cute little tips and statistics that provide a pretty basic overview of the business. There is also a glossary of the different terms used in the industry.

I’ve checked out the site, and its pretty basic, which is a bit surprising considering it comes from the DSA. The site is only a couple weeks old, so hopefully, as the site grows, they will add more relevant information and tools for those who want to enter into the industry.

The site features a blog which only seems to have one writer - Amy Robinson who is the VP of Communications at the DSA - which leads me to believe all the information that is put out on the blog will be very politically correct. It is not updated too often but maybe that will change.

One nice thing about the new site is a forum that will allow users to address topics of concern for them within the direct sales industry.

The Direct Sales Association is excited about their new venture, and feels strongly that it is a needed tool for the industry. In a statement released by Amy Robinson, “In a world where there’s a lot of competing information, it’s critical that consumers have a resource that provides a one-stop source for the facts about direct selling. This site looks at the good, the bad and the misunderstood — and even allows for constructive dialog through DSA’s first blog.”

It’s good to see that the DSA has finally done this on their own. They are pretty notorious for disliking any other blog out there that even mentions their company. While I know that this is NOT the direct sales industry’s first blog, as the DSA would like to claim, this is the fist one that the DSA has decided to do on their own. I guess they’ve seen all the other ones out there and are finally catching on that this is what the industry needs and wants. Unfortunately, the site really only showcases positive aspects and may not paint a completely accurate picture of the industry as a whole but that may come in time. For hard hitting news and tools that focus on the industry as a whole, the new DSA site will not offer much (well at least compared to OpTree) but it is a good looking site and has some nice, basic information.
