XanGo announced this week that Scott Smith, the company’s Senior Vice President will take the helm of the new Distributor Relations Department. The new department will be responsible for all aspects of the relationship between the company and its independent distributors.  No word on whether this will also include Xango’s new skincare line Glimpse.

The Distributor Relations Department will be comprised of several smaller departments, each offering a new service to distributors to help empower them and their business. The new departments, which Smith will oversee, will include Customer Service, Market Research, Distributor training and Elite Services.

XanGo hopes that the creation of the new department will not only aid the distributors, but help the company better understand what their distributors need in order to build and grow their business. XanGo wants to provide new resources that will give distributors all the tools and knowledge they need to be successful. .

“Scott and I agree that our distributors’ success must be at the center of any decisions, innovations and improvements that we make at XanGo,” said CEO Robert Conlee. “As we continue to grow and evolve into a multi-national, multi-billion dollar company, our ability to keep pace with our distributors’ needs and to maintain and improve upon the quality and outcomes of our efforts is crucial to reach our goals.”

Smith’s has an extensive background in the direct selling industry, one that not only includes technology and customer service, but also experience with building strong management teams to help provide the company and its employees superior service.

As we broke the news back in July, in a mere three weeks from now, XanGo (OpTree Profile) will officially launch its new Glimpse Skin Care line. The company, best known for its introduction of the mangosteen juice to the market, is now the first to create a skin care line produced from the tropic fruit.

The new Glimpse Skin line with not only feature the benefits of the mangosteen fruit, but will also feature the proprietary technology of the BioActive X3 Complex, a revolutionary system that will help deliver the ingredients to the skin. The BioActive is an all natural, clean and toxin free complex that will naturally nourish the skin.

“Glimpse is a natural, strategic extension of our business, and we’re proud to take the lead again by creating the category for topical skin nutrition from the mangosteen fruit,” said XanGo Founder and Board Chairman/CEO Aaron Garrity. “What XanGo Juice brought to the world six years ago in terms of creating a category and introducing a ground floor business opportunity, Glimpse will offer for topical mangosteen nutrition. The difference is that six years later we are in 23 countries with a sophisticated infrastructure and one million independent distributors to support the launch of Glimpse.”

Glimpse will become available on November 7th throughout the United States and Canada. The product will be introduced to the remaining 21 countries where XanGo products are sold in the first half of 2008. The product can be purchased online or through independent distributors.

I received an email today from Jennifer Dempsey, Communications Coordinator at Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada about a recent story we did about XanGo and the Wish Foundation- We incorrectly stated that the company had partnered with the Make a Wish Foundation.

The correct story should have read that XanGo has partnered with the Childrens Wish Foundation of Canada.

We apologize for the mistake. And just as a reminder, the XanGo Wishmaker Parade 2008 is October 18 and 19 across Canada. You still have time to participate or donate to the cause.
