Fortune Magazine released their 2008 List of “Most Admired Companies” and for the first time Tupperware Brands Corporation Made the List. Not only did they make the list for overall company rankings, but they also came in number 2 in rankings of Household Products. The number 2 ranking in the household category was pretty remarkable for a company making the list for the first time.
Many see the list as a report card on company reputations. The list is created using answers compiled from an annual survey conducted by the Hay Group in conjunction with Fortune Magazine. The survey is filled out by over 15,000 top executives from various companies in different business sectors, who are asked to rate companies based on a list of criteria including financials, management and corporate responsibility among others
“It is an immense honor to be included on Fortune’s ‘Most Admired Companies’ list and to earn the number two ranking among such strong contenders,” said Rick Goings, Chairman and CEO of Tupperware Brands Corporation. “To be recognized by our colleagues in the industry is truly remarkable.”
Another Multi Level Marketing Company made the list this year: Avon Corp also made this years list and ranked #6 in Soaps and cosmetics.
